Solar PV and battery storage, designed around how you use energy

MCS-certified installations for homes and commercial roofs across Essex, Kent and London. We model your output from your own bills, install in one to two days and handle the DNO and export paperwork.

A quote based on your kWh, not a brochure

Every solar quote starts with your consumption. We look at your bills or smart meter data, measure the roof, check shading and orientation, and model the array in software so you can see the generation month by month before you commit.

The system is designed to cover as much of your own use as possible, with a battery sized so you are not exporting cheaply in the day and importing dearly at night. If solar is not going to pay back for your property, we will say so.

Typical domestic system: 10 panels at 430 W (4.3 kWp), hybrid inverter and 5 kWh battery, installed and commissioned from £8,900 including VAT at 0 percent. Commercial arrays quoted per kWp after survey.

From survey to switch-on

  1. Survey and design

We measure the roof, check shading and your consumption data, then model the array so the quote is based on your kWh.

  2. Fixed quote and paperwork

Itemised price, generation estimate and payback model. We submit the DNO application and check planning conditions.

  3. Install and commission

Scaffold, panels, inverter and battery over one to two days. Commissioned, tested and shown to you before we leave.

  4. Certificates and export

MCS certificate, Electrical Installation Certificate and Smart Export Guarantee registration within a few weeks.

Questions about solar and batteries

Cost, savings, planning and timing.

How much does solar panel installation cost in the UK?

A typical 4 kWp solar PV system for a UK home costs between £5,500 and £8,000 installed, with a 5 to 10 kWh battery adding roughly £3,000 to £5,000. Solar and battery installations are zero-rated for VAT until 2027. Nexa Power surveys the roof, models the output and quotes a fixed price before any work starts.

How much will solar panels save me?

A 4 kWp array in the South East generates around 3,600 to 4,000 kWh a year. With a battery, a typical household uses 70 to 80 percent of that itself and exports the rest under the Smart Export Guarantee, which works out at roughly £900 to £1,200 a year at current prices. We model your figures from your own bills.

Do I need planning permission for solar panels?

Most roof-mounted domestic systems are permitted development and need no planning application, provided panels do not project more than 200 mm from the roof and the property is not listed. Conservation areas and flat roofs have extra conditions. We check this during the survey and handle any application if one is needed.

How long does a solar PV installation take?

Most domestic solar installations are completed in one to two days on site. Scaffolding goes up the day before, panels, inverter and battery are fitted and commissioned, and the DNO notification and MCS certificate follow within a few weeks. Commercial roof arrays are usually scheduled over one to two weeks.

Can I add a battery to solar panels I already have?

Yes. An AC-coupled battery can be retrofitted to almost any existing system without changing the panels or inverter. It stores the electricity you currently export during the day so you can use it in the evening, which is where most of the saving comes from.
